Isaac and his Amazing Asperger Superpowers by Melanie Walsh (Walker Books)

A superhero book with a difference, meet Isaac - a young man with a story to tell...
"Isaac and his Amazing Asperger Superpowers" created quite a buzz when it arrived at ReadItDaddy Towers. Charlotte loves Superhero books but we both knew that this was something different and that Isaac definitely wasn't your average spandex-clad masked hero.

Isaac has Asperger's Syndrome, and through the book children can find out more about this type of Autism in Isaac's own words, with gentle explanations of the condition and the symptoms.

Sometimes children have a hard time being able to visualise or understand what Asperger's means or what the symptoms are. With bold illustrations and easy to understand text, this is the sort of book that deserves a place in just about every home or school bookshelf.

It's full of brilliant positive messages and Isaac is a hugely endearing character.

We hope this sells by the bucketload.
