Our "There Was An Old Lady" Child's Play Competition Winners. Six of the very best!

There was an old lady who swallowed a...WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY?
Our Competition to complete the phrase "There Was An Old Lady Who Swallowed A..." for Child's Play Books was a storming success, and a huge thanks to all our entrants. We've cogitated, we've giggled, in fact we've laughed like drains - and it was extremely tough to pick winners in each category. We've bent the rules a bit so six lucky folk are going to be having their insides tickled by an utterly brilliant and charming child's play classic.

Charlotte picked our winners (with a bit of help from me) so without further ado here are the winning entries and the talented rib-ticklers behind them!

There was an old lady who swallowed a monkey! Who jiggled, and giggled, and made her dance funky!

There was an old Lady who swallowed a Giraffe - she looked so tall and thin -you had to laugh!

Lynsey Buchanan
There was an old lady who swallowed some beer, she liked it so much she drank it all year

Angela Wilson (and Nicholas, 7 yrs old)

There was an old lady who swallowed a kite, so I guess she'll be up with the wind all night.

No Discernable Talent (and Dexter, 4)
There was an old lady who swallowed a poo, not sloppy but hard and quite difficult to chew!

And finally....

Aimo (and Rebecca, 6 yrs old)
There was an old lady who swallowed a zoo, she roared like a lion when she went to the loo!

Absolutely fantastic stuff, and once again thank you so much to all our entrants, and congratulations to our winners. Email readitdaddy@outlook.com and we'll put you in touch with Child's Play to get your prizes out to you!

Have a safe bonfire night, y'all
