Gross grub, great rhymes and a motley collection of fabulous monsters and nefarious night-dwellers. Perfect Halloween booky fare!
"There's a Monster in my Fridge" by Caryl Hart and Deborah Allwright sets out its table rather neatly from the outset. We make no (skeleton) bones about our love of monsters, and the weirder and more inventive they are - the better!
There are spooky goings on in the house as there's a slight suspicion that monsters, ghouls and other icky things are lurking about in the kitchen, and thanks to some devilishly brilliant layouts and page-cuts, you'll get to find out just who is clanking around, rustling crisp packets or raiding the contents of the fridge.
Witches itch, monsters moan, and all manner of inventively icky grub is consumed as this monster book comes to life (not literally, thankfully - we will have enough monsters stomping around our neighbourhood tomorrow night as it is!)
Brilliant, original, and a ton of fun. Just how a great monster-halloweeny-squish-fest of a book should be!
Charlotte's favourite bit: Finding out what witches like to snack on (thankfully not little Charlottes!)
Daddy's favourite bit: Bouncing bombastic rhymes, utterly wonderful monster creations, a ton of brilliant fun that's bound to come in very handy come Halloween Night and spooky storytelling time!
