Now here's a book that is wild, woolly but contains absolutely no sheep! Nope, dogs are the stars of "Patch's Grand Dog Show" by Sally Muir and Joanna Osborne...
Here's a delectable little doggy tale that brings together Sally Muir's gorgeous descriptive storytelling skills with Joanna Osborne's wonderful knitted animals.
Joanna has put together many brilliant books that show off her crochet and knitting skills and working together with Sally she has produced a fab series of "Best in Show" stories that are worth tracking down
The latest in the series introduces a wonderful doggy hero, the shy and lovable Patch who might not be the prettiest dog in the world, nor the best at performing tricks but he's one determined pooch.
When the annual dog show comes to town, Patch is determined to enter all by himself. Has he got what it takes to be top dog?
So much fabulous work has gone into this book, with a glorious story of courage and determination combined with some truly fabulous woolly characters, scenery and props from Joanna's skilled hands. We loved the positive story and of course we loved all those fantastic doggies so this is definitely a winner! Best in show indeed!
Charlotte's favourite dog: A rather dapper Scottie!
Daddy's favourite dog: I always love an underdog, so Patch is my hero!
