Chicken Dance by Tammi Sauer and Dan Santat (Sterling)

Let's Bawk and Roll with the cookiest, craziest pair of cluckers you'll ever meet. "Chicken Dance" by Tammi Sauer and Dan Santat...
First released way back in 2010, here's a timely reprint by Sterling Publishing of a rockin' good book. Telling the story of Marge and Lola, two chickens who are desperate to meet their idol - the one, the only Elvis Poultry! They seize their chance when a talent contest is announced, to become the new backing dancers for Elvis' live stage show!

Marge and Lola, unfortunately, have two left feet so despite their best efforts to flap, flim-flam and strut their funky stuff, they're left in the dust by a bunch of talented geese. Will they ever get to shimmy and shake with "The King of Bawk and Roll"?

This is a rip-roaring rollicking good read from start to finish. Frenzied, exciting and full of glorious language not to mention Dan's gorgeous artwork. You'll get a kick out of this book!

Charlotte's favourite bit: Marge and Lola's amazing comeback dance - which is, of course, a complete accident but very impressive nonetheless!

Daddy's favourite bit: Gloriously written and entertaining to read aloud, and full of beautiful illustrations it's a rockin' good read!
