A perfect trio of engaging books to stimulate your imagination from Wide Eyed Editions

Spring feels like it's finally here, and though there's still a nip in the air, we can imagine ourselves enjoying a good book or three in the shade of our favourite tree.

Wide Eyed Editions have three new releases out now to keep your curious little ones happy.

First, "Nature's Day - Out and About" is a fab activity book based on Kay McGuire and Danielle Kroll's utterly sublime "Nature's Day" (which we reviewed a little while ago here).

This time, the emphasis is on a series of fun and engaging activities to give your little ones plenty to do with their crayons, pens and pencils while exploring their locale.

Lots of brilliant observational activities, brilliant nature-based makes and tons of colouring and doodling fun, it's a fabulous accompaniment to the original book which was one of our favourite non-fiction titles of last year.

"Nature's Day - Out and About" was released on 7th April 2016 in Hardback format.

Next is another stunning book from Wide Eyed Editions - this time easing your little ones into exploring their first words, and learning how to write them with an engaging little mouse as teacher.

Anna Kovecses' "One Hundred Words" is a beautifully presented and colourful writing activity book that makes learning fun, and really feels like a fantastic way to encourage children to pick up a pencil and start writing - far more interesting and engaging than those boring activity sheets they're given at school.

"One Hundred Words" was released by Wide Eyed on 7th April 2016.

We're not finished yet, we promised you a trio of brilliant books and so our third title from Wide Eyed's spring collection is this gorgeous and attractive origami / paper-making book with a difference.

Nghiem Ta and Danielle Kroll's "Pattern Play" lets little ones cut out, fold and make their own 3D animal models

There are 18 designs to choose from, with 45 stickers to decorate your designs.

Each of the models is fairly simple to make, so even the tiniest tiddlers will enjoy making lizards, birds, gorillas and other animals.

It's almost a shame to pull the book apart but it's a hugely satisfying 'make' book that kept Charlotte virtually silent for hours. Worth the price alone for that!

"Pattern Play" was also released on 7th April 2016.
Pick up one of these gorgeous titles now, and let your little ones loose on them on those april showery days.
