Join us on a colourful journey aboard a bouncy and fun-filled bus. Destination? The Bobo Road!
From the minute you set eyes on this book you'll know what you're in store for. A riot of colour, lots of fun and a bouncy bus journey across Africa!
Stephen Davies and Christopher Corr's "All Aboard for the Bobo Road" is such a joyful book that we couldn't help bouncing in our seats as we read it.
Early one morning, Bus Driver Big Ali sets off with his two children Fatima and Galo to pick up passengers and luggage for a trip to the Bobo Market. The bus is purring like a kitten, and the two children take their (rather perilous) place on the luggage rack on the roof, ready to help passengers with their goods.
First the bus must stop at the Gurunsi Houses to pick up its first paying passengers, then it's a bumpy and sometimes dusty journey taking in the sights and sounds of the Bobo Road. With a sing-song and lots of animals coming along for the ride, Big Ali knows that it's important everyone gets to the market on time to set up their stalls and sell their wares.
Based on real life locations in Burkina Faso, "All Aboard for the Bobo Road" is a joyful journey that has tons of opportunities for reading out loud and performing the various actions as the bus stops to load new passengers.
What an utterly brilliant bus-filled book!
