By the time you read this, we'll have said a sad goodbye to Doctor Numero 12, the excellent Peter Capaldi - who really got into his stride just as the carpet was yanked from under him. With Steven Moffat also departing as showrunner, it's going to be exciting to see where the series goes next...
Luckily for you, you don't quite have to say ta ta to 12 just yet, as you can make your very own version of Capaldi's Doctor in this fantastic activity book.
Now, I think we'd have to admit that when it comes to origami we can just about make a paper plane or two, or the odd jumping frog - but this book is crammed with 32 models culled from arguably the finest British Science Fiction series ever.
Naturally you can make all of the doctors, and their most fearsome enemies. Daleks, Cybermen, The Weeping Angels and many more.
Mark Bolitho's instructions are clear and easy to follow, so even if your manual dexterity isn't quite up to the Doctor's level of mad skill you should be able to make most of the models in this book.
The only drawback is, of course, you'll end up completely wrecking the book in the process as all the sheets and models must be cut out of the pages inside (well, that's kind of obvious really - though you could just make your own versions of the models with your own bits of squared paper too).
Nicely illustrated and great fun to fold and make, if you're a fan of the series this is definitely worth grabbing.
"Doctor Who Origami" by Mark Bolitho is out now, published by BBC Children's Books (kindly supplied for review).
