The new hardcover edition (which is GIGANTIC by the way) now features 16 new and exclusive maps, bringing the title bang up to date and worthy of a second look, even if you do own the original.
"Maps" by Aleksandra Mizielinska and Daniel Mizielinski is that rare thing, more than an atlas, more like a super-detailed encyclopaedia poring over every tiny facet and fact for the countries and territories shown within.
The big win for these books has always been the unique art style, almost etched and coloured, but always sublimely detailed.
They're also fantastic for covering such a wide range of age groups - so even though we first looked at these several years ago, the latest edition is still good for 9 year olds to dive into when they need a little extra help with their geography homework.
Stunningly detailed maps are, of course, the series strength |
