Goodnight Baby Moon (Dorling Kindersley)

Here's a rather attractive and innovative book from Dorling Kindersley, part bedtime story but also a really cool way to learn about the moon phases...
"Goodnight Baby Moon" is a gentle story that features sturdy board pages - but also the rather neat trick up its sleeve of allowing children to see the moon light up with a simple press of the book in the right place.

The story itself is utterly charming and atmospheric and makes for a brilliant introduction to our nearest neighbour for young children.

Learn about the different phases of the moon in Goodnight Baby Moon as you follow a family of little rabbits taking a night-time stroll through the woods.

With easy-to-follow text, simple repeated phrases and beautiful spread designs, young children will be fully engaged by this delightful story that is perfect for reading aloud. See the crescent moon change to a full moon and discover tiny surprises along the way, such as friendly owls in trees and fluttering butterflies.

We loved the art in this, beautifully simple and effective.
Charming and unique, Goodnight Baby Moon will appeal to the imagination of any pre-schooler eager to learn about the natural world around them.

"Goodnight Baby Moon" is published by Dorling Kindersley and is out now (kindly supplied for review).
