"Singing in the Rain" based on the song by Arthur Freed and Nacio Herb Brown, with fantastic splashy illustrations by Tim Hopgood, is just the sort of feelgood book you need when you're stuck indoors on a rainy day.
Actually, the book positively encourages you to get on your wellies, grab a brolly and sing in the rain yourself, with each joy-filled page spread taking lines from the song and showing an amazing world of imagination and fun for young children.
It's actually such a brilliant idea we're surprised no one's thought of it before, and we particularly loved the fact that this version comes with a bonus song CD (sung by the legendary Doris Day) to listen to along with the story.
Whatever the weather, get on your rain gear and go splashing! |
Let your imagination soar, even as far as the rainforest! |
