ReadItDaddy's Chapter Book of the Week - Week Ending 23rd February 2018 - "The Nothing To See Here Hotel" by Steven Butler and Steven Lenton (Simon and Schuster Children's Books)

There are just SO MANY great books around at the moment. So we couldn't resist cramming in one more "Book of the Week" winner this week for a chapter book par excellence...
Step inside a truly magical destination as we book in at "The Nothing To See Here Hotel" by Steven Butler and Steven Lenton.

This talented pair of Stevens have cooked up a magical tale full of fun and originality.

The story begins when a goblin messenger arrives at The Nothing to See Here Hotel.

The messenger has an important announcement. The Goblin Prince Grogbah is on the way and will not accept second best.

So it's up to Frankie and his family to dust, polish and get things ready for a real VIP guest.

There are plenty of chuckles to be had as The Bannister Family soon realise that the Prince is a bit of a diva, and constantly cooks up a series of unreasonable demands.

But Frankie is the first to discover that the sneaky and rather naughty prince has a secret, one that could turn their fortunes upside down.

There's such a brilliant cast of characters in this book, and it plays out like a slapstick version of "Hotel Transylvania" but with a real original feel thanks to a goodly dose of mythical creatures, magic and slapstick.

This is the first book in a planned series by bestselling author Steven Butler, with a host of whacky characters brought to life with illustrationw from the wonderful Steven Lenton! We can't wait to see more and will definitely plan a return to "The Nothing To See Here Hotel"
