Time for another fantastic fact-filled observational book that makes history fun!
"Spot the Mistake: Journeys of Discovery" by Amanda Wood, Mike Jolley and Frances Castle once again takes us on a whirlwind time-travelling trip through history - but in each scene something isn't quite right (in fact quite often several things!)
Yep, it's a brilliant way to engage a child's interest learning about some of the pioneering explorers that made their way around the globe, often with very little in the way of navigation equipment - or out into space in rockets to explore beyond our earthly bounds.
We love the characters in this, as they drop in on famous moments of exploration history, meeting native americans for the first time, trekking to the south pole or jetting off to the moon.
Can you spot all the jarring anomalies in each scene?
Brilliant stuff from the team behind "Spot the Mistake: Lands of Long Ago"
C's best bit: Spotting polar bears at the south pole (which sounds perfectly acceptable but they don't live there - probably just as well for the penguins!)
Daddy's favourite bit: Such a great idea this series, and yet another winning way of engaging kids with learning about history. Fabulous!
"Spot the Mistake: Journeys of Discovery" by Amanda Wood, Mike Jolley and Frances Castle is out now, published by Wide Eyed Editions (kindly supplied for review).
