J.M Barrie's classic "Peter Pan" has seen many, many versions arrive on our shelves - each with their own unique way of reintroducing this brilliant story to a whole new generation of kidlets.
Caryl Hart and Sarah Warburton's version substitutes the huge bulky text into a deliciously easy-to-digest rhyming version, fully illustrated throughout with the most amazing spreads just waiting to fly you to Neverland like never before.
Peter Pan is of course the classic story of Peter, Wendy and the Lost Boys - against their arch-enemy Captain Hook.
It's a timeless tale celebrating the imagination of children, and their belief that even in an ordinary everyday world, magic can be bubbling away just under the surface.
Second star to the left, straight on till morning and you're there! Neverland has never looked better! |
A sleepy square in London. But magic is never far away! |
Utterly beautiful stuff.
C's best bit: Always the Crocodile!
Daddy's favourite bit: Lovely lilting rhyming text cuts through some of the tricksiness of the original story's hefty wordcount. Absolutely loved that map of Neverland too.
