That's the effect "The Funniest Book Ever" had on my daughter. A colossal collection of all the most brilliant funny strips from the weekly "The Phoenix Comic" gathered together between the colourful covers of this mighty tome like a giggle sandwich.
Some of the comic's top creators have sweated blood and given it their all to provide you with a bumper compilation of strips from Bunny Vs Monkey and Looshkin by Jamie Smart, through to the absolutely brilliant Gorebrah by James Stayte, Star Cat by James C. With Christmas a mere smidge away, and lots of kids drawing up their lists to Santa, this should definitely be at the top somewhere, it's a whopping great big thick collection to wallop your grandma around the head with (Caution: Do not actually do this, we do not want to get in trouble).
A brilliant book that will last longer than the lingering scent of brussels sprout curry, or the toffee pennies in the bottom of a tin of Quality Street.
