Time for another globe-trotting book that finds out all about the animals that live on our planet, and their various habitats right across the globe...
It's quite a difficult thing to balance just right, putting together an engaging non fiction animal book, but in "Animal Worlds of Wonder" by Anita Ganeri and Maddy Vian, you'll discover lots and lots of interesting facts about some of your favourite animals, plus a few new ones you may not have heard of before.

With beautifully colourful spreads, step inside the world of our nearest animal neighbours, as we discover how they live, what they eat, where they make their homes and the other animals they co-exist with (including, of course, us humans!)

It's a thoughtful and engaging book, perfect for younger readers looking for their first 'proper' animal book, or perhaps for older readers who aren't quite ready for something as in-depth as an encyclopaedia.

Red Kangaroos can take the heat, as can their lizardy neighbours!

One thing we particularly liked with this book was that it features the latin names of particular animals as well! That's quite unusual for a children's book, setting this one a notch above your usual early reader title (and quite apt for C, who will be learning Latin later this year).

Arguably the stars of David Attenborough's Planet Earth II - The awesome Marine Iguanas and their chief predators, the Racer Snakes!

A real treat of a non-fiction title this.
