Stanley the Amazing Knitting Cat by Emily Mackenzie (Bloomsbury Publishing)

What a knit-wit Stanley is! Let's meet a moggy who LOVES to create wonderful woolly things in "Stanley the Amazing Knitting Cat"...
Emily ("Wanted: Ralfy Rabbit") is back with her next awesome animal hero - this time a rather creative puss who just loves making things for his friends.

Stanley loves to knit, anywhere and everywhere. He makes pom-poms over breakfast, and dashes out perfect rows while on the bus. Stanley's friends find themselves always warm and snugly clad in a variety of fabulous and colourful creations.

But when Stanley decides to enter a knitting competition, Stanley realises he's at the end of his tether. He's run out of yarn! There's nothing else for it but to unpick all those bobble hats, warm scarves and onesies he's been making for his friends - who are now left shivering and frozen!

What is Stanley up to? What is he making, and what amazing creation is he going to enter to the knitting competition?

Well obviously we're not going to give away the ending. Stanley is such a loveable character and the book's core message of friendship is as strong as Stanley's exquisite woolly stitches. But that ending!

Charlotte's favourite bit: Stanley's fabulous monkey-covering onesies

Daddy's favourite bit: Can't spoil the end but Stanley's ultimate creation is quite something to behold!
