Joining in with a super blog tour to celebrate the launch of "Violet and the Smugglers" by Harriet Whitehorn and Becka Moor (Simon and Schuster Children's Books)

Time for excitement and adventure on the high seas with our new favourite girl detective, Violet Remy-Robinson in "Violet and the Smugglers"...
Violet is back! YAY! Book 3 of the adventures of our derring-do heroine Violet Remy Robinson is here, and we're delighted to be able to take a closer look at "Violet and the Smugglers" by Harriet Whitehorn and Becka Moor.

Summer is here, and Violet has been invited to join her slightly eccentric seafaring Uncle Johnny on his swish-looking boat.

Trouble is never very far away for Violet though, and she's soon drawn into a soup-thick plot of nefarious wrongdoings as a scabrous sea-captain cuts across their bows, with a dark plan in mind.

It'll take all of Violet's wits, and a little help from her best friend Rose to uncover just what the nasty cove is up to.

Violet's latest adventure is, once again, fast paced and thrilling stuff and we can't get enough of the way the stories keep you guessing right up until the last minute, testing even the most fervent Nancy Drew's detective skills to the max.

Heroes like Violet are so important to girls like Charlotte, who is so taken with Violet that she's already clamouring for the next book, even though we've only just finished book 3 ourselves.

If you're mad keen on detective stories with some devilish twists and turns, and a pint-sized heroine with a colossal brain you're going to truly love the "Violet" tales - and dare we say that Violet and the Smugglers is the best yet?
