Booky Advent Calendar Day 5 - "Horrid Henry's Crafty Christmas" by Francesca Simon and Tony Ross

Our Booky Advent Calendar continues and we're on day 5. Are you getting excited about Christmas yet? Horrid Henry is!
In "Horrid Henry's Crafty Christmas" the naughty lad is up to all sorts of tricks, japes and - activities? Yep even Horrid Henry has to go through the motions of coming up with card and present ideas but in his own inimitable way.

So here's a handy guide if you're of a like mind to Henry and want to get away with some crafty crafting with some neat presents you can make yourself to save all that bother of going out and buying stuff (no way, not when there's money to spend on sweets and catapults!)

Henry enlists the help of some of the Purple Hand Gang to come up with ideas, and if you're a huge fan of the books (as Charlotte is) you'll appreciate the humorous take on an activity book that's shot through with the same sort of chaotic giggles that Francesca Simon's awesome stories are.

So what can you make? How about some special Purple Hand Gang cards?

Special purple hand gang merchandise. All royalties payable to Horrid Henry!
Or if you want christmas to go with a bang, how about making your own explosive crackers!

(Not too many 'bang' strips in there, you're only supposed to blow the *^%* paper off!)
Tons of fiendish ideas are tucked inside. It's not too late to pick up a copy and get busy making, after all, you wouldn't want to get on the wrong side of Henry's christmas list would you?

"Horrid Henry's Crafty Christmas" is out now, published by Orion Children's Books (Kindly supplied for review).
