Pablo Hidalgo's books are fast becoming essential purchases with each and every new Star Wars Movie arriving since Disney bought Lucasarts a few years ago.
I've only recently seen the movie (having missed it at the cinema, unusually for me) and had been holding off grabbing any of the concept art or process books until I'd watched it.
Now I have, I just had to pick up a copy of "Star Wars Rogue One: The Ultimate Visual Guide" - which again sees Pablo Hidalgo curating an astonishingly thorough book filled to the brim with elements from the film, but also a heck of a lot of awesome extras that really help flesh out the characters, the locations and the amazing technology you'll see on screen.
Jyn Erso - Awesome, kick ass, rebellious. You name it, she's got it. |
Weapons tech in particular impresses the socks off me in the newer movies |
Each location gets an extensive profile and backstory and there's an awesome galactic map for real Star Wars fans too |
This is a sumptuous treat of a book, a big hardback format just begging to be pored over. Amazing stuff.
"Star Wars Rogue One: The Ultimate Visual Guide" by Pablo Hidalgo is out now, published by Dorling Kindersley (self-purchased)
