I certainly did (want one) as a kid but we never really lived anywhere where that was possible.
Thankfully in "Everything you need for a Treehouse" you can live vicariously through this fabulously lyrical and beautifully illustrated story book.
Treehouses come in all shapes and sizes, from the very modest couple of planks nailed together in the branches of an old oak tree, to the grand multi-level places that look like something the Swiss Family Robinson might have knocked up on their desert island in their spare time.
It's a wonderful daydreamy book that speaks of long summers past, of that childhood dream of making or finding a den or a space you can truly call your own.
It looks so lovely...I mean who wouldn't want to live in a place like some of these?
People in glass houses shouldn't grow tall trees. Or should they? |
Rope swings! We still can't resist having a go on these whenever we spot them |
