"Am I yours?" by Alex Latimer (OUP / Oxford Children's Books)

Easter may be a dim and distant memory but this adorable tale of an egg is great for any time of year...
Not just any egg, but the egg in "Am I Yours?" by Alex Latimer is a dinosaur egg.

The poor egg has been blown out of its next by an icy wind and now it's up to five plucky dinosaurs to try and get that egg back to its mama before it hatches.

The story unfolds in rhyme and is a genuine pleasure to read aloud as the perfect couplets weave a tale introducing little ones to various dinosaur species in an amusing romp of a story that tickles and tantalises tiddlers and encourages them to join in.

The illustrations are glorious and colourful, full of character and fun.

There are so many books about dinosaurs but we loved this one and the friendship the five comrades forge over their shared quest to get little egg home before dark.

Beautiful stuff Alex!
