"Famous Family Trees" by Kari Hauge and Vivien Mildenberger (Lincoln Children's Books)

Here's a unique approach to learning a little bit more about famous historical figures. It's all about family...
When kids reach a certain age, they become fascinated by knowing a little bit more about where they came from (not, ahem, talking about the birds and the bees here - but perhaps learning more about their entire family).

"Famous Family Trees" by Kari Hauge and Vivien Mildenberger is pitched at just that age group, as kids begin to ask more and more questions about their parents, their grandparents, aunts and uncles, cousins and second cousins.

Using family trees of some of the most famous (and infamous) characters in history, children can learn a fascinating amount of information that is conveyed in a truly unique way.

Needless to say amongst the fascinating characters from recent more contemporary times, all the passages here about our own Royal Family, and their amazing branching family trees is truly worth digging into. What a strange lot!!

This is a great approach, and quite an original one at that. Love this book!

"Famous Family Trees" by Kari Hauge and Vivien Mildenberger is out now, published by Lincoln Children's Books (kindly supplied for review).
