"Thunder Pug" by Kim Norman and Keika Yamaguchi (Sterling Publishing)

It's the welcome return of what can only be described as the most adorable pug character in children's books. Step aside buster, it's "Thunder Pug" by Kim Norman and Keika Yamaguchi.
The adorable little pug from "Puddle Pug" is back and this time he's brought a friend.

Petunia Pig is wonderful, Percy Pug absolutely adores her and the two of them love playing together all day.

Needless to say they love sloshing around in puddles but Petunia is destined for great things, as a prize winning pig at the County Fair.

When Petunia wins a coveted Blue Ribbon, she's so popular with all the other animals on the farm that poor Pug doesn't get a look in. In fact soon his bestie becomes more and more distant.

But Pug has a plan. He's going to become someone Petunia can truly look up to - He's going to become a superhero pug. Thunder Pug in fact!

Life is blissful for Percy Pug and Petunia.

Will Percy's new superhero status win him back his friend? Perhaps she'll finally realise that it doesn't matter how successful you are - there's always time for your old pals.

Percy's going to become...A SUPERHERO!
We were completely won over by the charm of the first book, which is retained here with some of the most utterly adorable and huggable little characters you could possibly wish for in a children's picture book.

Absolutely lovely.

"Thunder Pug" by Kim Norman and Keika Yamaguchi is out now, published by Sterling Publishing (kindly supplied for review).
