Ninja Baby by David Zeltser and Diane Goode (Chronicle Children's Books)

She's stealthy, she's sassy, she wears a nappy! Who else could it be but "Ninja Baby" !
Quite often, parents might suspect their little ones of possessing ninja-like powers. Seemingly able to escape from any playpen, and always ready with a well-aimed kung-fu kick to your softer and more valuable parts during nappy changes, "Ninja Baby" is here and parents had better beware.

David Zeltser and Diane Goode's kung-fu creation is actually adorable despite her slightly agressive demeanor. When the doctor gently pats her bum to wake her up after she's born, the problems begin as Ninja Baby puts the doctor on her back. Owch!

"Congratulations, you have a Ninja Baby!"
Things don't get any easier at home as Ninja Baby exercises her will...Ninja Baby wants to do things for herself, and no namby-pamby parent had better try and stop her!

But then a new contender appears...

Confucious he say, beware of teeny tiny kung fu masters!
Mum and Dad bring home a tiny baby who is actually a pint-sized kung fu master. Where Ninja Baby prefers to make a ruckus, Kung Fu Master Baby is a lot more subtle and seems to win again and again when it comes to vying for attention. Can Ninja learn from Master?

An adorable twist on sibling rivalry, this is deliciously written and illustrated and made us cackle with every turn of the page. There's a really nice twist saved right till the end of the book but we're never going to spoil it for you. Go and track down that Ninja Baby yourself, you'll love it!

Charlotte's Favourite Bit: Ninja Baby spying on mum and dad time while wearing a fiendish disguise!

Daddy's favourite bit: A hugely original twist on sibling / new baby books, utterly perfect!
