Booky Advent Calendar Day 3: "Norman the Slug who Saved Christmas" by Sue Hendra and Paul Linnet (Simon and Schuster Children's Books)

Norman the Slug is back and this time he's just the mollusc to lend a helping...er...feeler in "Norman the Slug who Saved Christmas"...
Sue Hendra's books are always chock-full of brilliant characters and fantastic humour so it's great to see the return of a much-loved character for a special Christmas outing.

Normal (the slug with the strangest choice in faux-shells) is back, and on Christmas Eve Norman thinks he's been better behaved than anyone else when a huge sack of presents drops onto his doorstep.

Alas, Norman soon discovers that poor Santa is having a bad day - and the sack has slipped off Santa's sleigh by mistake. Can a no-limbed slimy slug possibly become Santa's most valuable helper and save Christmas for all the little children whose presents have been misdirected?

This fun and jolly romp is fantastic fun, with cracking rhymes and brilliantly bold and colourful illustrations. Norman rocks!

Charlotte's favourite bit: Norman's rather unique methods of dealing with a heavy sack of goodies!

Daddy's favourite bit: A fun festive tale from two extremely talented folk! Look forward to more from Sue and Paul in 2016!
