Doodle Girl and the Monkey Mystery by Suzanne Smith, Lindsay Taylor and Marnie Maurri (Simon and Schuster Children's Books)

Creativity is at our core. Never a day goes by without us writing, drawing, colouring or painting...
So we're instantly drawn (haha) to books like "Doodle Girl and the Monkey Mystery".

It's a brilliant mash-up of story telling and activities with a giant colouring poster and a ton of stickers to get your little ones busily helping Doodle Girl solve a tricky mystery.

Doodle Girl's book world unfolds as she uses her pens and pencils to draw and create characters and her surroundings.

Doodle Girl and her friends draw themselves on a tropical island populated by the cheekiest monkeys imaginable. It's time to unleash your imagination and use your favourite scribbling tools to solve the great monkey mystery!

A fun and innovative idea and we would definitely love to see more books of this ilk

Charlotte's favourite bit: Spreading herself out on the floor with all her favourite colouring pens and getting busy with that poster

Daddy's favourite bit: A brilliant little story tucked in with some great doodling activities.
