Sky Private Eye and the Case of the Runaway Biscuit by Jane Clarke and Loretta Schauer (Five Quills)

There's a mystery to solve, and this time the crumbs are distinctly...gingery? Call for Sky Private Eye!
Putting an innovative 'bake-off' style spin on classic fairy tales, and fusing them with a detective story featuring an inquisitive young girl sounds like the perfect recipe for the sort of book Charlotte absolutely loves.

Girl detectives, cakes, cute dog sidekicks and a mischievous gingerbread  man? You'll find them all in "Sky Private Eye and the Case of the Runaway Biscuit"

Sky is called in when a bereft old lady and her husband notice that their son (who just happens to be made of gingerbread) has gone missing.

They're very worried as a prowling snarling fox has been seen in the vicinity, and if there's one thing foxes love more than anything else it's tasty warm gingerbread!

Sky soon picks up the trail but must rush to solve the mystery before the Fairytale Olympics start! This (cake) case will take more than a cupcake or two before the mystery is unravelled. Will Foxy Loxy gobble up the missing gingerbread boy and why is there a running shoe box tucked under his bed?

Kids will absolutely love this fabulous re-spun classic, but will definitely love Sky - who is set to star in her own range of fabulous detective fairy stories (look out also for "Sky Private Eye and the Case of the Missing Grandma coming very soon too!).

"Sky Private Eye and the Case of the Runaway Biscuit" by Jane Clarke and Loretta Schauer is released on 1st April 2017 (no foolin') - Published by Five Quills (Kindly supplied for review).
