Before and After by Jean Jullien (Phaidon)

We love funny books, we love clever books - and we absolutely LOVE Jean Jullien who has a knack for producing both!

Here's "Before and After"...
It's not often that I can get Charlotte to sit down and review titles for younger audiences but there are some books that just tickle her fancy in just the right way.

Jean Jullien's fantastic "This is Not a Book" was one of our Book of the Week winners, and it's not hard to see why - it was just such a fun idea for a book - part book, part toy in fact!

So now Jean's back with a lovely little followup again for younger tiddlers, showing sets of paired images to great comic effect.


On one page spread you get the "Before" image...

Playful fun, I'm sure you'll agree. Sometimes there's even more fun though as the pages gatefold open to produce a "Before", "During" and "After" set...!


As with Jean's other books, this is destined to become a firm and much demanded favourite with your little ones. Utterly brilliant stuff!

Daddy's favourite "Before and After": The child who gets a very severe haircut (which quickly regrows!)
