Time for a fabulous new animal book series in conjunction with the Natural History Museum. Here's ten reasons to love an Elephant / Turtle...Fun and engaging animal books are pretty much staple fodder for early years kids, and we're always on the look out for new and attractive animal books that show just how fascinating the creatures that inhabit our earth really are.
Catherine Barr and Hanajo Clulow working in conjunction with the Natural History Museum have come up with two really fabulous tiddler-friendly animal books.
The first is "10 Reasons to Love an Elephant" which obviously tackles one of the biggest land animals first (no easy task).
It's a lovely little tale that dishes up tons of interesting facts about those wrinkly trunked lovelies, with each page spread telling you a little more about this fascinating species...
They sure do! |
And if Elephants aren't your thing...
There's also "10 Reasons to Love a Turtle" which takes a peek in on one of the most intriguing creatures roaming our oceans.
Again written by Catherine with illustrations by Hanako, here's 10 amazing facts about those heroes in a half shell, turtles!
These books are of the highest quality, and younger children will really love the mix of lifecycle storytelling and facts that open out on each page spread.
Turtles are just as fascinating as Elephants, both live to a ripe old age and both are in danger of having their habitats increasingly encroached on by humans, so it's hugely important that children get to know these creatures and find out loads more about them and why they need our protection.
Turtles are very well travelled, using the ocean's currents to jet around the globe. Cool, dude! |
