A Home Full of Friends by Peter Bently and Charles Fuge (Hodder Children's Books)

There's nothing better than snuggling up in your own home, in your own bed with a nice full belly - but what if others aren't as fortunate as you?
That's the premise of Peter Bently's new cuddly animal tale "A Home Full of Friends". Badger wakes up to the aftermath of a storm, and soon meets lots of other animals who have ended up homeless.

Badger is a kind and generous soul, and realises that the nicest thing to do would be to offer his friends house room. But will he have enough room for a dormouse, a hedgehog and a frog?

Badger gets a further surprise when he's fussing around trying to find enough food and bedding. The animals have also brought their families!

Badger can't possibly turn them away, so what will he do?

Once friends pull together, they can achieve anything!
Badger's modest little home (which for some reason really reminded us of Bilbo Baggins' snug and tidy little hobbit hole) is soon bustling with activity, fun and of course friendship.

A lovely little moral in this one, as nice as pie in fact. Gloriously written with tons of beautiful illustrations from Charles. Delicious.

"A Home Full of Friends" by Peter Bently and Charles Fuge is out now, published by Hodder Children's Books.
