"A Loud Winter's Nap" by Katy Hudson (Capstone / Curious Fox)

New from the author of "Too Many Carrots", here's Katy Hudson's fantastic "A Loud Winter's Nap"...
Most people get quite grumpy about the onset of winter, and though you're probably still coping with the rush of going back to school, you can still feel a bit of an Autumnal nip in the air.

In "A Loud Winter's Nap" meet Tortoise - who around now would normally be bedding down in time for a nice long hibernation.

Every year Tortoise sleeps through winter and assumes he isn't missing much.

However, his friends are determined to prove otherwise!

Will Tortoise sleep through another winter, or will his friends convince him to stay awake and experience the frosty fun of winter?

Tons of fun with a rather Victor Meldrew-esque Tortoise finally warming to the idea of wintery weather. Beautiful characterful illustrations throughout...

Brrrrr!
It'll get you in the mood for the snow and ice. Winter is most definitely our favourite season!

Charlotte's best bit: Grumpy old tortoise. What a character!

Daddy's favourite bit: A glorious picture book from Katy, as much fun as "Too Many Carrots" with some great animal characters.

"A Loud Winter's Nap" by Katy Hudson is out now, published by Curious Fox / Capstone.
