Out Today - the very latest edition of the fantastic DK Children's Encyclopedia (Dorling Kindersley)
We are always in our element when there's a big fat fact-filled non-fiction book to review and today sees the release of the latest, greatest edition of the awesome "DK Children's Encyclopedia"...As we've said so many times on the blog, DK has a fantastic reputation for taking non-fiction titles to the next level.
For many years both my wife and I have collected and kept our own DK books, and now Charlotte is enjoying the newer titles - which are every bit as good as ever they were.
Competing with the growth of digital information online is never easy, but there's still something quite sublime about leafing through a big thick encyclopedia and marvelling at the diverse range of topics tucked within its pages.
The latest edition of the DK Encyclopedia is aimed at a broad range of ages, so as soon as children start to explore their world a bit more, and their curiosity is piqued, this is the sort of book it's worth picking up for them.
From Robots to Rock Cycles, the range of topics on offer in this luxurious book are amazingly diverse |
Dog or cat, bunny or guinea pig? What's your favourite pet? |
How many different flags and flowers can you identify or name? |
"DK Children's Encyclopedia" is out today, published by Dorling Kindersley (kindly supplied for review).
