ReadItDaddy's YA / Adult Graphic Novel of the Week - Week Ending 3rd November 2017: "Porcelain: Ivory Tower (Porcelain Book 3)" by Benjamin Read and Chris Wildgoose (Improper Books)

We had to cram in at least one more Book of the Week this week, as we really didn't want you to miss out on the fantastic third instalment of a Graphic Novel series that has completely won us over...
Improper Books continue to produce some truly stunning graphic novels and books, and we've been on the edge of our seats for some time waiting for the third  book in the "Porcelain" series.

"Porcelain: Ivory Tower" picks up some ten years after the events of "Porcelain: Bone China". Lady is now known as Mother - and indeed is now a mother herself to two amazing daughters, each with their own gutsy determination to explore beyond the walls of their self-imposed prison.

Mother has sacrificed everything to keep her children safe, but the outside world never changes - there is still a huge appetite to bend Mother's will to producing a mighty ceramic army to enforce the kingdom's rule and win the encroaching war.

Woven with an intoxicating mix of ceramic-punk (Steampunk somehow doesn't seem quite fitting!), magic and emotional storytelling, we're once again left on the edge of our seats by this series and its thoroughly original and gorgeously illustrated mythos.

I can't clamour about Improper Books loud enough. If you're absolutely bored to tears with run of the mill comics, I strongly suggest you pop over to their website and have a look (and grab yourself some free previews of this, and their other comics while you're there!)

Mind-blowingly superb.

"Porcelain: Ivory Tower (Porcelain Series Book 3)" by Benjamin Read and Chris Wildgoose is out now, published by Improper Books (kindly supplied in digital format for review).
