Follow Finn by Peter Goes (Gecko Press)

Once again, Gecko Press shows some serious book savvy when bringing some of the most brilliant titles over to the UK with newly translated versions of books that have done fantastically well in non-english speaking territories.

Peter Goes "Follow Finn" has now been translated, and this new edition offers the same brilliantly illustrated and totally engrossing mix of puzzling and activities that we've seen in Peter's other superb titles (look out for "Timeline" which should also be coming soon from Gecko).

Finn and his pet dog are our heroes for a race and chase around many different mazes, each with a different theme.

There are happy sunny smiley mazes full of joy and wonder.

There are dark scary mazes where hungry creatures lurk. And there are so many tiny little intricate details in each page spread that youngsters really will enjoy tracing through each maze with their fingers to help Finn on his merry way.

We love books like this, where we can get lost for hours (literally lost, as some of these mazes are quite tricky!)

Beautiful Escher-like illustrations chock full of detail in "Follow Finn"
The best bit for us was seeing just how many amazing little characters Peter packs into his illustrations, from snoozy kings to wibbling whales, all ready to block your way and send you back on a different path.

"Follow Finn" by Peter Goes is out now, published by Gecko Press (kindly supplied for review).
