"How To Eat Pizza" by Jon Burgerman (OUP / Oxford Children's Books)

This could almost be the definition of C's perfect picture book, featuring that most beloved of subjects dear to her heart...
Yes indeed, my daughter loves Pizza. Not just any pizza, mind you. She is a pizza connoisseur who turns her nose up at the cheapo tomato smeared monstrosities you find in many supermarkets, preferring home-made dough, delicately arranged toppings and an absolute truckload of olives.

Jon Burgerman's "How to Eat Pizza" doesn't offer up any recipe hints but it will tell you how to devour your own favourite flavour.

There is a catch though. The pizza in this book really doesn't want to be eaten, particularly the largest slice who tries every method in his arsenal to convince you - the reader - that there are tastier slices on the plate.

Which do you choose?
The problem is, the lure of the largest slice is ever present - particularly if you're me. So can big slice convince us that his skinnier less-topped brethren are worth eating instead?

Nope!!
Jon's crazy sense of humour comes to the fore in this delightful and colourful crazy tale of pizza love.

Watch out for bonus donuts at the end though!

People eat their pizza with a knife and fork? WHAT DEVILRY IS THIS?!!
"How to Eat Pizza" by Jon Burgerman is out on 1st March 2018, published by OUP / Oxford Children's Books (kindly supplied for review).
