"Swapsies" by Fiona Roberton (Hodder Children's Books)

Everyone has a favourite toy, but what happens when your friend has a cool toy they want to swap  with you for your favourite thing?
Fiona Roberton's "Swapsies" is a fun and engaging story.

Fang's favourite toy is Sock - he loves it more than anything.

But when his friends bring along shiny trains and bouncy balls, Fang soon swaps his favourite toy for something more exciting.

For a while Fang is super-happy with his new acquisitions but secretly Fang really misses sock and his banana-pongy cuddliness (do your socks smell of bananas rather than cheese? Ours certainly don't!)

Will sock and Fang ever be reuinted?

C was very quick to point out that this really reminded her of the awesome "A Deal's a Deal" by Stephanie Blake but we rather liked this and a lot of parents will be nodding all the way through this one at their own kids 'swapping' antics from school ("Hey mum, look I swapped that expensive Shopkins thing you bought me for this chewed up piece of bubblegum!") - Yep, been there, done that.

"Swapsies" by Fiona Roberton is out now, published by Hodder Children's Books (kindly supplied for review).
