"Wild World" by Angela McAllister and Hvass & Hannibal (Wide Eyed Editions)

Another gorgeous Natural History book from Wide Eyed Editions now, let's take a walk on the wild side...
"Wild World" by Angela McAllister with illustrations by Hvass and Hannibal is just the sort of book we can't get enough of.

As we've said a lot recently, littlies really are spoilt for choice when it comes to fantastic non fiction titles. Wide Eyed are leading the charge with an absolutely phenomenally fantastic range of titles that are instantly eye-catching and completely engrossing thanks to sumptuous presentation, fab illustrations and child-friendly text.

Wild World shows off our planet at its best, taking in all the amazing habitats and ecosystems that animals and plants thrive in, even in some of the harshest conditions on the planet.

What we loved best about this book is that the beautiful lyrical text weaves gloriously into the illustrations, marking this book out from the standard (and sometimes fairly dry) non fiction titles we've seen elsewhere.

Quite appropriate for the time we were typing this review, snowbound in the Arctic
It's one of those books that's actually a real treat to read aloud in hushed tones, so perfect for bedtime when kids are tired of stories and want to hear about the world they live in instead.

Our favourite place to be - into the woods!
A really beautiful book, and we really loved the big hardback format, perfect for tinies who are just getting used to handling proper books.
