ReadItDaddy's First Picture Book of the Week - Week Ending 1st June 2018: "The Ultimate Interplanetary Travel Guide: A Futuristic Journey Through the Cosmos" by Jim Bell (Sterling Publishing)

Our first Book of the Week takes a really cool and interesting approach, something breaking away from the 'norm' when it comes to books about space...
Jim Bell's stunning "The Ultimate Interplanetary Travel Guide" takes us on a whistle stop tour of the Cosmos, travelogue style.

With a selection of stunning poster pull-outs, and a huge collection of amazing photos and illustration, Jim is our tour guide as we zoom around in our imaginary spacecraft, visiting worlds and moons we've only dreamed of.

Take a tight turn around Titan, whizz through Saturn's beautiful rings and get up close with the huge swirling storm on Jupiter. Many of the solar system's most familiar landmarks are beautifully detailed here, as well as many more you may never have heard of before.

The presentation is perfect, the illustrations and photo plates are gorgeous and the whole book feels just like a massive luxurious hardback journal you'll want to return to again and again.

Really amazing, we love it!

C's best bit: Cool NASA posters to stick on her wall.

Daddy's favourite bit: Beautifully presented, authoritatively written - a really different approach to most space books but one that works perfectly.

"The Ultimate Interplanetary Travel Guide" by Jim Bell is out now, published by Sterling (kindly supplied for review).
