It's time to jet off into the stratosphere with that intrepid knowledgable fellow Professor Astro Cat!The good professor has journeyed through the human body, and shown us a taste of space in previous titles from Dr Dominic Walliman and Ben Newman.
This time he's concentrating on our current method of breaking the confines of our mother planet in this latest fantastic title in the range.
"Professor Astro Cat's Space Rockets" really does give littlies a solid rocket boost to their knowledge about the amazing engineering marvels we know as rockets. Kicking off back at the height of the space race, this fascinating early years book goes right through to today's mega-powerful satellite and spacecraft-lifting titans.
The book is bang up to date, which was great for us as we're planning to actually visit Kennedy Space Centre next year and see some of these beasts for ourselves (hopefully we might even see a launch too, that would truly be spectacular).
A brilliant fact book filled with awesome information, superb illustrations and a ton of space knowledge for hungry little astro-kits, all delivered in a format that's immensely suitable for tiny space fans!
C's best bit: Learning all about the animals that were the first real astronauts.
Daddy's favourite bit: Some brilliant spreads that talk about the lunar landings in 1969 and what an amazing feat of engineering it was to produce something that could land on another planetary body. Wow.
"Professor Astro Cat's Space Rockets" by Dr Dominic Walliman and Ben Newman is out now, published by Flying Eye Books (kindly supplied for review).
