"Angry Cookie" by Laura Dockrill and Maria Karipidou (Walker Books)

So you think you're having a bad day? You've got nothin' on "Angry Cookie"...
Happy, Sad, Scared or Angry. Waking up in the morning you never know what the day has in store for you.

"Angry Cookie" by Laura Dockrill and Maria Karipidou introduces a fiery-haired little fellah who really doesn't want you nudging your nose into his book.

At first, anyway. But Cookie soon warms to you as he describes one seriously annoying day. Everything seemed to go wrong, and Cookie has no one else to take his bad mood on - except perhaps a friend, a new friend? You in fact?

Laura and Maria deliciously describe Cookie's antics in a book that deftly deals with our anger management issues and better ways to deal with them than lashing out or venting.

This is what a good day looks like. Until something goes wrong...
The illustrations are bold, colourful and bright and Cookie is a pretty adorable character, despite his initially foul mood.

Grumpy! Crumbly! Yet strangely adorable.
"Angry Cookie" by Laura Dockrill and Maria Karipidou is out now, published by Walker Books (kindly supplied for review).
