"No Frogs in School" by A. LaFaye and Eglantine Ceulemans (Sterling Children's Books)

What happens when you're a pet-obsessed kid who has to go to school for the first time...
What would you sneak into your bag as a friend for breaktime?

In "No Frogs in School" you'll meet Bartholomew Botts who really loves pets.

Bartholomew's teacher, Mr. Patanoose, says No Frogs in School! So what will happen when Bartholomew's beloved creatures meet up with Mr. Patanoose's rules?

Lots of FUN! Hoppy pets, hairy pets, scaly pets: Bartholomew Botts loves them all. And he doesn't want to go to school without one.

Unfortunately, when Bartholomew brings his brand-new frog to class, his teacher, Mr. Patanoose, declares: "No frogs in school!" How will Bartholomew keep his animal friends close at hand and what will happen when Teacher finds out.

We love the slapstick in this...!

Eeep! Ribbit! SCREAM!
Also love the diversity in characters here too.

Bartholomew's home zoo. We daren't imagine the pong!
The biggest problem with this book was that it had C imagining all the pets she would have if she could have any number at home (sadly we live somewhere where we couldn't even play host to a tiny newt, bah!)

Fun for all animal fans, "No Frogs in School" by A. La Faye and Eglantine Ceulemans is out now, published by Sterling Children's Books (kindly supplied for review).
