She has edited many story collections and poetry anthologies, has retold traditional tales, and is a highly-respected reviewer and commentator on children's books.

Here she collects together an amazing roster of glorious verse, illustrated by Piet Grobler.

Obviously the great outdoors is a subject very dear to our hearts, so we loved diving into a collection of poems that have an optimistic outlook as well as several that highlight the dangers of taking our home planet for granted.

Children feature throughout the verses of course, and mother nature in all her beauty takes a starring role.
