What Does Baby Want? By Tupera Tupera (Phaidon)

Here's an utterly fantastic little board  book with an innovative 'round' design that plopped into our review pile, making us both giggle and 'awww' at the same time.
"What does Baby Want" would be a really lovely 'first book' for a new baby, as mums and dads settle into a routine and (hopefully) make reading aloud to their little ones a part of that too.

It's also a great little book for would-be new siblings who now have a new baby in the house, and may even love to read this one aloud to their new little brother or sister.

"What does Baby Want?" uses simple illustrations and a low word count to try and understand why the little one is crying.

Do they want their shiny tambourine?



Or maybe their teddy?

Or is it that Baby is hungry and needs a feed?


It's a gentle little story and nice way of raising awareness for World Breastfeeding Week (which is coming up in August).
