Nibbles the Dinosaur Guide by Emma Yarlett (Little Tiger Press)

Uh oh! Time to lock up your books, a rumbly-tummied little fiend is once again on the loose!
Nibbles, that hungry little book monster is back for a second helping in "Nibbles The Dinosaur Guide" by Emma Yarlett.

Emma's fabulous character is a great fit to lift this dino book above the usual stale old text we're so used to seeing in early years dinosaur books, weaving a fun story around some big and proper Dino facts covering all our faves, such as the T-Rex and the Velociraptor as well as the gigantic Diplodocus and the lowly Triceratops.

Nibbles, the little scamp, is wreaking havoc in the book though - chomping through pages at a rate of knots, and giving no thought to the terrifying creatures inside. Who's afraid of dinosaurs? Certainly not he!

This is a fantastic book from the get-go. Just as Emma played with the format so successfully in "Nibbles the Book Monster" she once again makes fantastic use of cutouts, lift-the-flap sections and of course that mischievous book scamp to utterly brilliant effect...

An absolute dino-fest, or should that be dino feast where nibbles is concerned. Nom indeed!
Emma's hilarious illustrations and playful writing style once again hit the mark perfectly, so if your little ones are on the lookout for a brilliant fun story that just happens to also double up as a dino spectacular, this is definitely the one to go for.

Charlotte's best bit: Spotting naughty Nibbles as he chomps his way through the book (and quite a few Dino tails! Owch!) Oh and of course a huge thanks for the dino poo :)

Daddy's favourite bit: Emma once again shows what's possible with the picture book format, making it into a fantastic interactive and fun story filled with dino facts and chaotic book chomping hilarity. Awesome stuff Emma!
