ReadItDaddy's Second Picture Book of the Week - Week Ending 8th December 2017 - "Pancakes! An Interactive Recipe Book (Cook in a Book) by Lotta Nieminen (Phaidon)

What better way to round off a book lover's meal than with a stack of booky pancakes? Our second Book of the Week this week is the fabulous "Pancakes! An Interactive Recipe Book" by Lotta Nieminen...
C's delight when she sees these books is quite cute and funny. Lotta Niemenen's fantastic "Cook in a Book" range (we've already reviewed the awesome "Pizza" and "Tacos" books) takes some of our favourite food and turns it into a gorgeously illustrated and 'fun to play with' interactive book experience.

First, your budding little chefs can check out all the ingredients they'll need for the perfect stack of pancakes.

Then once they've gathered all the bits together, it's time to cook up a storm!

If you're anything like us, pancakes are a regular part of your home life!
The book's board-pages and super-clear illustrations make this really eyecatching and fun for little ones (or 9 year olds who love books you can actually play with!)

Pour the milk, whisk in the eggs and get ready to add some flour. All in the pages of this fab little book!
Getting hungry yet?

Flip those pancakes! Don't let them burn!
It's funny how children enjoy most books that are closely linked with the pleasure of enjoying food. Lotta has once again provided a really cool and interactive book that kept C entertained for ages, she just can't wait to show her younger cousin when she comes to visit next.

C's favourite pancake topping: Chocolate sauce or golden syrup

Daddy's favourite pancake topping: Definitely oodles of maple syrup or ice cream, perhaps some blueberries for vitamins!
