Forever or a Day by Sarah Jacoby (Chronicle Books)

Time. Where does it go? I find myself increasingly asking this as time marches on and life continues to unfold...
I think if there's one common experience most parents share, it's that moment where you look at your children every day and ask yourself what happened to the tiny wrinkled bundle you quiveringly cuddled to you when they were born.

In "Forever or a Day" the gentle and delightful journey-story takes place over the course of a day as a family go to visit their parents / grandparents, and the interactions between mum and dad and their kids.

Tiny little moments are beautifully captured here, many moments that we've shared as a family ourselves that often pass by in the blink of an eye...

Beautiful art in each page spread with wonderful prose lending the book even more atmosphere
It's inevitable that as parents we sometimes take these moments for granted, but only realise how important and treasured they are when we dig deep into our memories and remember happy times together.

Idyllic days at the beach, but where does the time go?
We loved the various scenes that offer up a reminder that no matter how fleeting those treasured moments are, we are still there to live through them and enjoy them - and look forward to many more.

Even a train journey can become an adventure
Such a lovely idea for a book, and thank you for taking the time to read our review of it!

"Forever or a Day" by Sarah Jacoby is out now, published by Chronicle Books (Kindly supplied for review).
