"Little Green Donkey" by Anuska Allepuz (Walker Books)

Fussy eater at home? I share your pain. I live with TWO of them, and sometimes visiting the supermarket with them can be a real chore.

But when you're a concerned parent who finds that their little one will only eat certain things, what on earth can you do about it?

"Little Green Donkey" by Anuska Allepuz is an amusing and charming story about a little Donkey who is completely obsessed with his favourite type of food.

Grass.

Lush, juicy, munchy crunchy grass. Donkey just can't get enough of the stuff and despite his parents trying him out with other things, Donkey's fave foodstuff shows no signs of changing.

Grass is just so...convenient. You can stash it under your pillow for a midnight snack or a quick munch when you wake up in the morning.

But soon Little Donkey becomes the titular Little GREEN Donkey, as his shaggy coat changes to a glorious emerald shade.

Mum wants little donkey to eat his 5 a day. Little donkey just wants grass, lovely grass!
Donkey then realises it's time to act fast, after all how could anyone love a green donkey?

But will his new favourite choice of food leave him an even stranger shade?

Utterly beautiful illustrations underpin this brilliant little story, to tickle the fancy of your fussy little ones.

Sum this book up in a sentence: The perils of becoming fixated with just one type of food are gloriously described in this completely charming story.
