Flora and the Peacocks by Molly Idle (Chronicle Books)

We'd just have to describe this book as "FAN-tastic" if we had to summarise it in one word...
Molly Idle is an artist and animator and her glorious character work has been a staple of the "Flora" book series.

Flora, a diminutive little girl, is a wonderful dancer who has flapped with flamingos and pranced with penguins in the past.

Flora meets two rather prissy Peacocks in her latest adventure - a wordless 'lift the flap' book that's guaranteed to win over your little dance fans.

With each turn of the page, Flora presents new moves but her new-found dance partners aren't too sure about a little girl upstaging them. After all, a proud peacock has a reputation to maintain!

We loved the way each page offers a neat little peacock surprise as you lift each of the flaps to 'complete' the dance moves.

There is a huge surprise behind one of the pages but we're not going to spoil it for you! You'll just have to pick up "Flora and the Peacocks" and marvel at the gorgeous big reveal yourselves!

Charlotte's best bit: The big surprise!!

Daddy's favourite bit: A gloriously beautiful and simple wordless book that unfolds like a delicate ballet. Gorgeous!!
