"Me and my Sister" by Rose Robbins is a hugely impressive debut, a story of sibling relationships but much, much more than that too.
The two main characters spend most of their day together. They eat together, they play together - but life isn't always easy when your sister has Autism. Life, in fact, can be extremely tough and challenging.
Told through the eyes of the brother in the story, we take a journey with the characters to find out how both have their own challenges to meet - and yet above all this there's a strong bond, more than a friendship but sisterly and brotherly love that keeps them together, and means that they'll always look out for each other.
This is a story that is deftly handled by Rose's sensitive and observant prose, more than just another issues book, this is a touching and heartwarming story that feels instantly fresh and informative.
